General/Area Description

This modern cottage is located on the Moon River, but don't let the name fool you; there is no moving water at this cottage at all. This cottage is located in Gaunt Bay which is one of the many large bays off the main river and offers plenty of boating and fishing. Not far from Bala for shopping, weekly farmers market, scenic waterfalls and museums. This property is quite private and has a level area at the rear of the cottage to play and a smooth rock shoreline. Waterfront offers a shallow entry with sand above and below the waterline (becomes deep) and deeper water from the rocks. A sunny location with sun on the dock a good part of the day. Cleaning is included at the end of each rental. For rentals for 4-5 weeks in length cleaning is included once during the rental period and at the end of the rental period.

Lot/Waterfront Description

This raised bungalow is nestled among trees with 250 feet of water frontage offering fantastic privacy. Cottage road is great for cycling and jogging. There is an open level area to play at the rear of the cottage and the rest of the property is typical rocky Muskoka terrain and ready to be explored. Cottage offers a treed view of the water and sits close to the shore. There is a natural path from the cottage to the shoreline where there is smooth rock to walk along. Deeper water for swimming here. Further along the shore there is shallow entry where there is sand above the waterline to play and wade into deeper water. Sand extends out about 8-10 ft and then becomes soft bottom typical of Muskoka. This is a good area for toddlers to wade. Good swimming from the dock where the water is deep. Owner would prefer small boats only and no sea doos.

KIT/DR/LR - modern birch cupboards, stove, fridge, dw, mw, bright room with door to screened room and island with stools, DR - pine table seats 6 people, LR - large windows provide a plenty of light, ceiling fan, two love seats, wood stove, pine cabinet (tv), sliders to deck and door to screened room. 3BEDR - (1) Master qb, sliders to deck, lake view, fan(2) tb, tb, fan(3) qb, fan. 2 BATH - (1) toilet, sink, tub/shower (2) toilet, sink. Lau - laundry room is located off of the kitchen, w/d.
