General/Area Description

Located close to both Gravenhurst and Bracebridge, with lots of shopping, restaurants, entertainment and scenic boat cruises, and only 2 hours from Toronto. This is a beautifully designed 4-season cottage on a large level lot with shallow water for children and deep water for adults. Doe Lake is a smaller, spring-fed lake with few motorboats, great swimming, fishing, hiking and lots of wildlife. This three-story, bright, open-concept cottage is ideal for one large, extended family, or two separate families wishing to stay under the same roof but still have privacy and distinct living areas. The cottage has cathedral ceilings throughout, sun rooms, beautiful decor, floor to ceiling windows and terrific sunset views. The lower floor is a fully-equipped, self-contained apartment (include full bath, sun room and patio) with separate entrance, but also direct internal access to the upper floors.

Lot/Waterfront Description

Lot is level, nicely landscaped, and located on a point facing W, N and E. Lawns, natural terrain, stone walkways, lots of Muskoka rock and lovely flower beds. Cottage is the second-last property on a year-round road. Very private, with more than an acre of land and 335 ft of waterfront. There are several attractive seating areas next to the water, a large dock and a swimming raft, both for all-day sunning, and an extra large, wrap-around deck. Sandy beach and smooth rock bottom makes for easy water entry. Fire pit can be used for evening gatherings, roasting marshmallows and star gazing. Doe Lake is best suited for small boating (paddle boat and two canoes supplied). Cottage is not far from cottage # 1864, 1900, and 1928, all on our site. Note: there are no public boat launches on this lake.

Cozy seating Nook - davenport sofa makes 3/4 bed, overlooks LR/DR, lake and road views. Lower Floor: full height ceilings throughout.
