General/Area Description

A "nature lovers paradise" best describes this unique cottage. Perched on natural Muskoka rock overlooking a lovely protected bay, this 3 bedroom cottage offers a lovely natural lake view, modern architectural design, two fireplaces and a screen room. Only minutes to Gravenhurst where there is dining, live theatre and scenic boat cruises. This is a lovely area to walk and canoe or boat into town. Main cottage only is $ 1550 which includes 3 hours of cleaning at the end of the rental. *Cabin is an additional $ 500. Cabin can be rented on it's own at $650 per week if the main cottage is not booked.

Lot/Waterfront Description

Lot is wooded and natural with exposed Muskoka rock. Cottage is the last on a small cottage lane. Situated at the mouth of a environmentally protected bay. Here you can see wildlife such as herons and beavers. The end of the bay (away from the cottage) is very beautiful with lily pads and other plant life. A small creek runs down the side of the property and out into the lake. At the end of the bay, there is a small river, which if you are energetic, will take you to beautiful waterfalls. At the front of the cottage the water is clear for swimming off the dock. Deep water swimming is available. Walk from the cottage down natural rock to cement stairs that lead to the lake. Cottage is accessed by a lane way. You must walk a pathway from parking to cottage (pathway is slightly inclined). Two decks provide a pretty water view. Only one other cottage is visible. Cabin sits at the top of the hill beside the steps to the water. Lot is rugged and may not be suitable for very young children or the elderly.

Two Levels: Main Level: LR/KIT - open concept, all windows across the front with a lovely view of trees and the bay, view down the lake from the cottage, wooden table seats 6, modern sofa, sliding glass doors to 2 decks, hemlock floors, a large elm counter divides the living room and kitchen area, kit has open shelves and cupboards, dw, mw, stove & fridge. Stove is a gas counter top with electric built-in oven, large fridge with freezer, wooden table seats 6. Sun room/Deck - screened, a lovely place to sit amongst the trees. Den - poc, fireplace, doorway is open and has an attractive screen for privacy. Lau - w/d. 2BEDR - (1) bb ( db/tb), lake view, hemlock floor (2) db, lake view, hemlock floor. BATH - toilet, sink (open vanity), tub/shower. Upper Level: Loft with slanted ceiling, ping-pong table, all one large room, plywood floor, trundle bed pulls out to make a king bed, double sided fireplace divides the room where there is a db. This area also has a screen if needed for privacy and tree top lake view.  Cabin - fully equipped with electricity and water. Modern 3 piece bath. Open concept KIT/LR/DR - modern cupboards, smaller older stove, fridge, table seats 4, pine floors, older sofa and chair. 1BEDR - db.
